The Future of Concrete.

As part of our focus on the environment, we made a decision to create a Regional Sustainability Engineering role about a year ago. Melissa Verwest, a former prestress employee who joined us from the consulting engineering market space, began the effort of not only learning where concrete stood in the sustainability discussion but also beginning to work with our unique product teams (prestress, ready mix, aggregates and construction) to identify initial steps we can take set a baseline of performance and road maps forward for continuous incremental improvement (We’ve learned there are no silver bullets!).
